Women in Canadian Criminal Defence held our first WICCD social this past Sunday to close out a very cold, very grim pandemic January with a warm, supportive gathering filled with joy and laughter.
It was a beautiful afternoon that turned into early evening, with many of our members across Canada joining us to share a drink and get to know each other in a safe place. Some of us lingered well past the original planned end of this party, just to talk some more. There were tears of laughter, and just some tears. A moving, uplifting event.
